Religious Education
Students who are not enrolled in St. Vincent de Paul Grade School are welcome to receive their religious instruction in our Religious Education program. Religious instruction is offered for students from grades 1 through 8. Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm during the school year. In addition to Wednesday classes, RE families should regularly attend Sunday Mass. Parents play an indispensable role in modeling the faith for their children.
Children with special needs are integrated into the RE program as much as possible. The Church desires all Catholics to receive Communion, Confession, and Confirmation. Accommodations can be made to help students according to their ability.
In 2026-2027 we are partnering again with St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Peoria Heights. All Religious Education Classes will take place at St. Thomas. All Sacraments and Family Formation Classes will take place at St. Vincent de Paul. To view more infomation about this decision, please view the below letter. The schedule is also attached below.
