Parish Leadership

St. Vincent de Paul Parish is fortunate to have many dedicated men and women serving on our leadership councils.

The Buildings & Grounds Committee advises the pastor who oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of our parish and school buildings and grounds. This committee evaluates the current needs of our parish properties and plans for current and future requirements. The Buildings & Grounds Committee is comprised of many knowledgeable and talented parishioners and meets every other month.

A Take Cover Plan has been implemented at church. Please click here to view the map of our church and familiarize yourself with where you would take cover in the event of an emergency.

The Education Commission is composed of parishioners who advise the pastor and principal regarding educational policies. The Commission serves as a positive voice for the school. The Principal provides direction, policy recommendations, and information to the Commission. The principal and pastor make administrative and staff decisions after receiving the Commission’s counsel and advice.

Three parishioners are elected to the Education Commission each spring. Members serve a three year term. Applicants should be current parishioners with a commitment to Catholic education and St. Vincent de Paul Grade School. A brief resume is requested in which each applicant describes his or her qualifications.

The Parish Finance Council has been established by the Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Congregation, Peoria, Illinois, in order to aid him by its advice and counsel in the administration of the temporal affairs of the Parish. The Council is constituted as an advisory Board to the Pastor of St. Vincent de Paul who holds final authority in all decisions by virtue of his appointment as Pastor. Its decisions shall be arrived at by consensus.

The Parish Council is an advisory board under the direction of the pastor to research the needs, the ideas and the hopes of the faith community. The Council encourages and supports our existing organizations and also plans for the future by recommending policies, procedures and programs that will implement our parish’s values and fulfill the church’s mission
