Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the program for people who are interested in joining the Catholic Church. The program is conducted by the priests and parish volunteers. Classes are during the 9am Mass.

The RCIA program covers the essential elements of the catechism, including the creed, the sacraments, the commandments, and the Our Father. During the program, participants are enrolled among the Catechumens during Advent. They are welcomed among the Elect during Lent in preparation for the sacraments at the Easter Vigil.

St. Vincent de Paul RCIA program runs September to April on Sunday mornings. To register for the RCIA program contact Karen O'Bryan at (309) 339-4176.
